Join a growing data function as a Data Products and Architecture Executive Director. In this role, you will shape the client’s data product and architecture offering by owning the enterprise data platform backlog, setting priorities, and defining the features and capabilities needed to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions. You will also oversee the Data Architecture function in partnership with the Head of Data Architecture to define and implement target-state architectures and standards aligned to the overall data strategy.
You will own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for the data platform and act as the senior product owner accountable for what is built and why. Responsibilities include leading and structuring a data platform intake and prioritisation framework, chairing prioritisation forums with business and IT stakeholders and senior management to ensure transparent and disciplined trade-offs, and implementing a data product framework and operating model. This includes standard definitions and taxonomy, ownership and accountability models, and lifecycle management across design, build, iterate, and retire, while driving development of reusable, scalable data products aligned to business domains.
You will ensure data products are discoverable, accessible, trusted, and fit for purpose, track delivery against roadmap and backlog while holding IT accountable to agreed priorities, timelines, and outcomes, and define product success metrics focused on adoption, usage, and value delivered. You will also own and implement the master and reference data management strategy and operating model for MRD adoption across systems, reporting, and processes, and work with regions and strategic programs to drive alignment and adoption. The role requires experience as a senior product owner in a multi-stakeholder environment, strong enterprise data architecture knowledge (including data modelling and integration patterns), and proven experience working with or overseeing data architecture teams; it also requires the ability to influence effectively and coach/mentor technical roles to build a high-performing delivery team.
