Description

The client is seeking a Data Analytics Director to lead a key new role within its Data Analytics Function, supporting a multi-year transformation initiative focused on meeting BCBS239 principles for effective risk data aggregation and risk reporting. This role will help build an Analytics Operations Capability across EMEA departments and will oversee the operational support that improves timeliness, accuracy, performance, and user experience for an expanding suite of end-user computing tools.

The Data Analytics Director will establish and lead a team responsible for maintaining and supporting analytics-focused tools, defining and maintaining an Analytics Operations service catalogue and operating model, and ensuring effective support for products throughout their lifecycle in production. Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations of a product support team, delivering a pipeline of Analytics Operations initiatives with quality and traceability to requirements, ensuring completion of product catalogue items such as metadata and documentation to agreed standards, and acting as the senior escalation point for issues, risks, and dependencies across Analytics Operations products, services, and projects.

The role also includes leading regulatory implementation and adherence to BCBS239 requirements across relevant data processes, managing supplier and delivery activities aligned to contractual milestones, and contributing to cross-functional delivery of analytics and business needs. The successful applicant is expected to have proven expertise in BCBS239 and regulatory compliance within the banking industry, experience setting up and leading an Analytics Operations capability and related change initiatives involving end-user computing tool remediation, and strong foundations in data governance, analytics, and reporting frameworks, with a working understanding of data analytics technologies and techniques as well as the software development lifecycle and best practices for analytics. Experience related to onboarding by a European central banking institution may be considered a plus, and the director will be expected to mentor and develop team members while monitoring regulatory updates and industry trends to support ongoing compliance.
