Description

Credit Administration Officer to support a bank client by managing the day-to-day operations of the Credit Administration Department. In this role, you will monitor loan documentation to ensure proper records, identify loan policy exceptions and concentration issues, and report on credit risks within the bank. You will also help evaluate and analyze credit administration processes to support sound credit quality and performance.

You will work with senior management to establish, maintain, and apply credit administration policies, underwriting guidelines, and credit procedures. Responsibilities include analyzing economic and industry trends in relation to current credit guidance, implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and quality, and providing constructive input to strengthen credit administration outcomes. You will ensure credits receive proper risk ratings from the appropriate decision-makers, maintain and update the loan policy, and review analysts’ work for consistency and quality.

Additional duties include collaborating with the lending team to resolve discrepancies in loan documentation, preparing reports on credit administration processes and loan performance, and supporting oversight to ensure activities comply with internal guidelines, regulatory requirements, and applicable legal frameworks. The role also includes completing required performance reviews for credit department staff and may involve supporting multiple priorities, flexible hours, and working under time-bound deadlines. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 10+ years of relevant banking experience, and 3–5 years of supervisory experience, along with strong attention to detail, analytical skills, problem-solving and interpersonal skills, and good organizational and time-management abilities.
