As General Manager for Indonesia, you will help drive the client’s mission forward by developing and implementing strategic plans, overseeing programme execution, and ensuring alignment with organisational goals. You will monitor operational performance and support compliance with applicable policies and regulations while leading and mentoring a team to achieve objectives effectively. The role also includes managing budgets to help ensure the financial sustainability of programmes.
You will build and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, including government bodies and educational institutions, and represent the organisation at key events to promote its initiatives across the region. You will also provide regular updates and reporting to global leadership and support growth by increasing user acquisition and strengthening user retention. The position is expected to combine operational leadership with commercial and stakeholder-facing responsibilities.
The successful applicant will have a strong educational background in business administration, management, or a related field, and proven leadership experience in the technology sector, with ed-tech or education experience considered a plus. You should bring excellent strategic planning and organisational skills, demonstrated experience across commercial, sales, business development, or general management, and the ability to grow a company from an early stage (0–1). Strong financial management, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of the education landscape in Indonesia, and the ability to communicate in both Bahasa and English are required, along with a track record of staying in a company for at least five years and approximately 12–15 years in commercial or front-facing roles.
