the client is seeking a senior strategy leader to shape and drive the group-wide strategy function with high executive impact. The role will support long-term growth through strategic planning, portfolio optimization, and the identification of new value-creation opportunities, including advanced materials, technology-driven business models, and selective global expansion. The successful candidate will directly report to c-level leadership and will be expected to lead efforts that guide the organization’s next decade of transformation.
Key responsibilities include leading the annual strategic planning cycle and setting 5–10 year strategic direction and portfolio priorities by evaluating industry trends, market dynamics, competitive shifts, and global benchmarks. The role will develop strategic narratives, investment theses, and scenario plans for top management, and will build business cases for new sectors, technologies, and adjacencies by assessing feasibility, synergies, risk-return, and strategic fit. The position will also support partnership models, joint ventures, innovation programs, and the exploration of new business models, while translating strategy into actionable growth initiatives, pilots, and roadmaps in collaboration with business units.
The role will provide strategic input for acquisitions, divestitures, and partnerships, including target screening, investment rationale, synergy hypotheses, and support for strategic due diligence in coordination with finance and legal teams. It will prepare executive-quality materials for senior leadership and align group companies around shared KPIs and performance frameworks, with occasional representation in selected industry and regulatory forums when required. The position also drives cross-functional strategic programs such as digital transformation, sustainability roadmaps, advanced materials initiatives, and technology investment themes, and it will collaborate with corporate venture and innovation teams on emerging technology opportunities. Qualifications include 8–10 years of relevant experience, ideally from top-tier strategy consulting or a blend of consulting and industry strategy roles, with an engineering or quantitative background considered a plus, strong analytical and executive communication skills, and the ability to operate as an in-house consultant working closely with senior leadership.
