The role will advise on complex, high-value transactions for sophisticated domestic and multinational clients, with an emphasis on corporate, M&A, and private equity matters. This position is designed for an established or up-and-coming corporate lawyer who can help strengthen leadership, contribute fresh perspectives, and support the continued development of the practice.
Key responsibilities include leading and advising on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and general corporate transactions; managing and growing key client relationships; and collaborating with partners across practice groups and jurisdictions. The role will also contribute to business development initiatives and support team leadership, while mentoring and developing junior partners and associates.
Candidates are expected to have an LL.B. or J.D. with strong academic credentials and be in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. The client is looking for significant experience in corporate and transactional matters, along with a portable practice or a clear business development plan.
