Description

the client is seeking a COO leader to support the company’s strategic and operational growth during a major expansion that will significantly enhance its manufacturing capabilities and market position. the role includes defining, communicating, and executing the company’s strategic vision, while maximizing the potential of a new production plant. the COO is expected to drive excellence across EBITDA, cost management, productivity, quality, and workplace safety.

the COO will oversee financial and business performance by managing P&L for a business unit with revenue above USD 400M, with a strong discipline and a results-oriented approach to sustainable outcomes. the position also involves leading and developing a large team of more than 3,000 employees, strengthening a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance. the leader must align and communicate effectively across different generations and working styles, combining close, empathetic engagement with firm, decisive influence at all organizational levels.

the COO will play a key role in corporate governance and stakeholder relationships, reporting with transparency and rigor to shareholders and the board, and managing key relationships with strategic customers, important suppliers, and relevant institutional stakeholders. the role includes leading organizational, cultural, and operational transitions, and advancing modernization, innovation, and efficiency initiatives, including full integration of the new infrastructure. qualifications include an MBA or equivalent postgraduate education and proven executive experience as a general manager/COO or business unit leader in highly complex manufacturing environments, with strong experience in metalworking and/or comparable industrial sectors, leadership of organizations of 3,000+ employees and 400M+ revenue, and experience navigating significant transformations; key personal traits include exceptional communication, emotional intelligence, integrity, strategic thinking, and a long-term, project-driven mindset.
