Biovision works to promote sustainable food systems from field to plate. We support agroecological approaches, fair and socially responsible value chains, and food security in harmony with nature. Through targeted research and practical projects in Sub-Saharan Africa and Switzerland, we develop solutions for the future together with our partner organizations. Biovision was founded in 1998 by Swiss entomologist and Right Livelihood Award (Alternative Nobel Prize) laureate Hans Rudolf Herren. Our projects and initiatives help improve the lives of farming families while protecting the environment, based on the principles of agroecology. This holistic approach includes sustainable farming methods, socially responsible economic systems, and policy dialogue, enabling us to address global challenges such as hunger, climate change, and biodiversity loss. Our goal: A future-proof food system.

To strengthen the finance team of our mid-sized, well-established NGO, we are looking for an engaged Controller (80100%). In this role, you will contribute significantly to the success of Biovision. Ensuring quality control of partner project audits, including planning and conducting on-site audits in Sub-Saharan Africa. Managing the Management Information System (MIS) and reporting to executive management; maintaining and developing the MIS dashboard in Power BI. Ensuring reliable foreign currency forecasts (USD, EUR) and managing currency transactions.

Your qualifications include a completed degree in business administration, specializing in managerial accounting (Masters degree from a university or university of applied sciences), ideally with additional training in nonprofit financial management.
