Description

the client is seeking a hands-on Controller to strengthen the accounting foundation of a fast-moving, growth-focused organization. This highly visible leadership role will support the business as it expands through acquisition, upgrades financial processes, and moves toward a more sophisticated reporting environment. The Controller will play a direct part in how the company scales and how the finance function evolves over the coming years.

The Controller will lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and oversee day-to-day accounting operations with strong general accounting discipline. Responsibilities include strengthening internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance practices; supporting leadership with financial analysis and reporting materials for senior stakeholders; and managing audit readiness in coordination with outside audit and tax partners. The role also includes overseeing treasury-related activities such as cash visibility and key banking relationship management.

In addition, the Controller will serve as the accounting integration leader for acquisitions, helping ensure successful transition of financial processes, reporting, controls, and accounting operations following transactions. The position will partner with operational leaders to improve workflows and increase financial visibility, provide direction to the accounting team (including adjacent billing operations), and help optimize an ERP and related financial systems to support business growth and increasing complexity. The client is looking for an experienced accounting leader with progressive controllership-level responsibility and strong systems and reporting/close expertise; a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is expected, CPA is preferred, and prior experience with acquisition integrations and scaling process improvements is valued.
