the client is seeking a Controller to provide financial oversight for its communities. The role is mission-driven and supports financial operations that enable affordable housing and related support services for older adults. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will supervise an Assistant Controller and a Staff Accountant, and will oversee core financial functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Accounting, Financial Reporting, Treasury, Payroll, and Financial Systems Support.
Nonprofit accounting experience, particularly as it relates to gifts and grants, is essential and is expected to be a significant responsibility. The Controller will manage key reporting and finance systems, using Microsoft Business Central 365 for financial reporting, and may also work across other applications used to support accounting and constituent-related activity and payroll operations. The role supports timely, accurate financial reporting and will ensure the organization’s financial processes are effectively maintained across the listed functional areas.
