the client is seeking an accomplished Construction Operations VP to help shape the future of its operations. Working closely with executive leadership, this individual will guide project execution, mentor operational teams, enhance client relationships, and support continued regional growth, with a focus on building strong teams and improving operational excellence.
The role will provide executive operational leadership across multiple commercial construction projects from planning through completion. Responsibilities include leading, mentoring, and developing Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, and other operational leaders; strengthening operational processes to improve consistency, efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction; maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and field leadership; and collaborating with executive leadership on strategic growth initiatives and operational planning. The VP will also monitor project performance, resource allocation, scheduling, and operational priorities across multiple active projects, while championing safety, quality, communication, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Required qualifications include extensive leadership experience in commercial construction operations, with demonstrated success overseeing multiple concurrent commercial construction projects and operational teams, and a background leading Project Managers, Superintendents, and field leadership within a growing organization. The ideal candidate has exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills, along with the ability to establish operational systems that drive efficiency and accountability and to develop high-performing teams through coaching and mentorship. Commercial drywall or commercial interior specialty construction experience is required, and experience supporting organizational growth, operational scalability, and continuous improvement initiatives is strongly preferred.
