A client is seeking a Compliance Officer to help ensure the bank operates in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role develops, implements, and maintains enterprise-wide compliance programs, supports risk assessments, and provides practical guidance to business units.
The Compliance Officer will conduct risk assessments, compliance testing, and audits to proactively identify and mitigate risk. Responsibilities also include preparing clear compliance reports for senior management and regulatory audiences, monitoring regulatory developments to support timely implementation of new or revised requirements, and providing guidance and training to business partners across the organization.
In addition, the role investigates, documents, and resolves compliance issues and customer complaints, serving as a trusted compliance resource across functional areas of the bank. The ideal candidate has strong working knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements, experience across multiple compliance disciplines (including retail and deposit regulations and fair lending-related requirements), strong analytical and communication skills, and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least five years of banking compliance experience; CRCM is preferred.
