Description

the client is seeking a Community Bank Chief Financial Officer to lead and oversee all accounting and financial functions for a community bank in the Oklahoma City, OK area. This senior role will guide the organization’s finance strategy toward growth and expansion and will support the Executive Team with forecasting, budgeting, and preparation for the organization’s next level of performance.

Key responsibilities include directing financial activities such as reporting, planning, supervision, and investments; preparing and/or directing annual tax-related information and financial statements; and producing business activity reports, financial forecasts, annual budgets, and regulatory reporting as required. The role also includes participating in or chairing the bank’s ALCO committee, supervising staff involved in financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting, and maintaining alignment with organizational policies, federal and state directives, and current accounting standards. Additional duties include conducting or coordinating audits to ensure compliance, managing disbursement requests in accordance with policy, monitoring reserve levels and other financial details for legal and regulatory compliance, and evaluating financial staff performance with recommendations for personnel actions.

The Chief Financial Officer will also coordinate financial planning, budgeting, procurement, and investment activities; develop internal control policies and procedures for budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting; and analyze past, present, and expected financial operations to identify improvement opportunities. The role includes evaluating funding needs and investment of surpluses and leading training and development for staff in budgeting and financial management. Candidates are expected to have a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting (master’s degree preferred) and a CPA designation (preferred), along with four or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure while prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
