Description

the client is building a mobile-native blockchain that runs fully on mobile devices, positioned as a highly decentralized protocol. Following a recent funding round, the client is growing its technology, business development, and marketing teams while building toward a mainnet launch during 2022. In this context, the client is seeking a commercial director to oversee interactions with crypto exchanges and custodians, with responsibility for structuring decentralized organizations and navigating liability and regulatory complexities across relevant territories.

The role will provide strategic leadership and management of the public sale event associated with the mainnet launch. It will involve liaising with legal counsel to manage regulatory issues and risk, developing and maintaining strong relationships with exchanges, and leading the selection and management of market makers. The commercial director will also contribute to treasury management and the handling of both crypto and fiat, including oversight of custody solutions with third parties on behalf of the issuing entity, and support investor and large token holder engagement, grants programming, and sale platforms.

Key qualifications include substantial background in financial services, deep understanding of global financial markets, and knowledge of financial services and blockchain regulation. The client is also looking for experience working with crypto/blockchain exchanges and an understanding of auditing practices, along with a strong interest in new technology and, ideally, cryptocurrencies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills, be technically proficient in project management tools and cloud-based documentation, and operate as a self-starter who takes ownership of processes and projects, with fluent written and oral English.
