Description

The client is seeking a board-level Commercial Director to help drive a business growth agenda and support long-term expansion. This executive leader will define and deliver the long-term commercial strategy, drive revenue growth, strengthen strategic customer relationships, and elevate the organization’s brand and market presence in a competitive logistics environment.

The role is responsible for strategic commercial leadership, including translating the commercial vision into actionable plans, identifying new markets and strategic partnerships, and providing commercial insights and reporting to the Managing Director and Board. It also covers business development and revenue growth through securing new revenue streams across key markets, overseeing a high-quality sales pipeline and national growth plan, leading significant commercial negotiations and tenders, and cultivating relationships with strategic accounts, carriers, and industry partners.

Key responsibilities extend across customer onboarding and relationship excellence, including establishing a consistent and scalable onboarding process and setting strategic KPIs for customer activation and retention, as well as coordinating with Operations, IT, Finance, and HR. The Director will also lead customer service strategy and performance by embedding SLAs and escalation frameworks and driving root-cause resolution, while owning marketing and brand positioning through evolving brand identity, overseeing digital marketing and lead generation, shaping events and PR, and ensuring external messaging aligns with brand standards.
