The client is hiring a Commercial Director for a high-growth division to shape and execute sales strategy across multiple business units. The role focuses on driving revenue growth, strengthening customer value, and improving commercial performance through cross-functional collaboration, market insight, and decisive leadership. Key activities include defining and delivering commercial strategies for revenue acceleration and market expansion, interpreting market trends and customer dynamics to refine divisional direction, and developing a unified cross-sell and team-sell approach across business units.
The Commercial Director will lead enterprise sales activities spanning new business, renewals, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities, while overseeing account management and bid functions to ensure alignment with commercial priorities. The role also includes driving monthly growth reviews and quarterly commission cycles to maintain performance momentum, monitoring product performance against commercial objectives and business cases, and refining go-to-market models, commercial narratives, and enterprise propositions. In addition, the role will build strategic customer and partner relationships to enhance satisfaction and retention, and set and manage divisional sales targets and forecasts with business unit leadership.
The position requires a commercially driven, strategic sales leader with deep experience delivering enterprise growth in complex, multi-product environments, typically with a solution-led, data-driven, or technology-enabled background. Candidates should demonstrate strong solution selling capabilities, including diagnosing complex customer needs and enabling teams to deliver multi-product, value-led propositions, along with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across sales, product, marketing, operations, and data. The role also emphasizes inspiring leadership—leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing commercial teams—and strong judgment in high-stakes, high-ambiguity environments; experience implementing sales strategies and transformation or business expansion programs is expected, with built-environment or residential property sector experience beneficial but not required.
