The client is seeking a Subscription Business Director to lead and expand their subscription membership initiative. This director-level position comes with full responsibility for profit and loss, aiming to achieve sustainable growth in membership, revenue, and viewer engagement. The successful candidate will report to the Streaming Business Director and collaborate closely with executives at the c-suite level.

The primary responsibilities include overseeing the complete subscription business strategy, from designing propositions and pricing to executing go-to-market strategies and maintaining customer retention. This role entails leadership of a cross-functional team of over 20 professionals in domains such as analytics, marketing, and editorial. Strategies for growth, commercial roadmaps, and performance metrics like audience retention and lifetime value are key focuses. Collaboration across product, marketing, content, and technology departments is essential to enhance market opportunities and product development.

Ideal candidates should have a proven track record in leading subscription or direct-to-consumer businesses within sectors like streaming, media, gaming, or telecoms. Strong commercial skills, particularly in pricing and revenue strategies, are necessary, along with experience managing customer lifecycle stages. Advanced analytical skills and the ability to translate insights into strategic actions are highly valued. Experience collaborating with c-suite stakeholders, and knowledge of CRM, marketing tools, agile methodologies, and digital transformation are desirable.
