AMIE Basel has been supporting mothers affected by poverty for nearly 20 years, helping them enter education or employment and strengthening their ability to balance family and work. To complement the new co-executive leadership team, we are looking for an engaged leader as Co-Managing Director (60-70%) responsible for HR, finance, and/or fundraising, starting June 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Your Profile: Completed education in Social Work, Social Sciences, or a comparable field. Several years of professional experience with leadership and budget responsibility, ideally in a nonprofit environment. Experience in fundraising. Additional training in business administration and/or nonprofit management is an advantage. Qualification as a practice training supervisor is an advantage. Knowledge of labor market integration or experience in developing educational programs and quality management is desirable. Sensitivity to topics such as motherhood, poverty, migration, and refugee experiences. A resilient, proactive, and creative personality with strong interpersonal skills.
Your Area of Responsibility: The responsibilities of the Co-Managing Directors include strategic and operational leadership and further development of AMIE. Personnel management (56 team members, 1 FH intern, and 23 contracted specialists). Finance management (budget and annual financial statements). Fundraising (foundation applications and reporting, management of private donors). Professional leadership of core programs and projects, including acquisition of new initiatives. Collaboration with referring organizations and quality management. Communication, public relations, lobbying, and networking. Operational management (infrastructure and IT).
