Description

The client is seeking two Co-Directors for its Anti-Racism Office to lead transformational anti-racism work within a global social justice organization. This highly visible role operates as co-equals and sits at the intersection of spiritual values, organizational change, and racial justice. Co-Directors will shape anti-racism policy, design and deliver education, and serve as trusted counselors to senior leadership and the broader community, with a focus on dismantling systemic racism within faith-based organizations.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and collaborating with the organization’s leadership team, the Co-Directors will build and staff a department to provide education, direction, and guidance to dismantle racism and promote racial justice. Responsibilities include developing and implementing the department’s strategic vision, priorities, and objectives; providing strategic direction and operational oversight; advising and collaborating with department heads to implement anti-racism priorities and policies; establishing a resilient office aligned to long-term commitments; and supporting institute committees, work groups, and task forces as directed. The role also includes designing and managing comprehensive anti-racism educational programs and workshops, embedding transformational values in training, providing follow-up support, and participating in orientation and in-service programming.

Co-Directors will partner with Human Resources, the leadership team, and institute leadership to develop anti-racism policies and accountability measures, and to improve procedures and systems that strengthen office operations and institutional impact. They will collaborate with related teams on emergency response matters as needed, and deliver transparent, regular communications to keep membership informed of progress. The role includes producing documents, reports, presentations, and performance metrics, and directly supervising office staff through hiring, training, goal setting, professional development, and performance evaluation. Co-Directors will also prepare and manage the office budget and foster a culture of teamwork, mentoring, and mission alignment.
