Join the client as an early marketing lead in a 0→1, foundational role for a well-funded, early-stage AI company. This is a fully remote position with location flexibility, and you will be expected to help define and build the end-to-end marketing function from scratch. The client is seeking candidates who may come from outside the AI space, as long as they bring strong early-stage startup marketing capabilities and a proven execution track record.
You will own and define the company’s end-to-end marketing strategy from 0→1, including positioning, messaging, and a category narrative tailored to a fast-changing AI landscape. Working closely with founders, you will support product-market fit and go-to-market direction, translating technical complexity into clear, compelling storytelling. You will also design and run early growth experiments across channels, build an initial demand generation engine (such as content, partnerships, founder-led growth, and community), and establish performance metrics and feedback loops to drive iteration.
In this highly hands-on role, you will create and oversee core marketing assets and capabilities (such as website, content, tools, and analytics setup), help establish scalable foundations for acquisition and brand growth, and develop thought leadership initiatives that build trust and differentiation in a crowded, fast-evolving market. You will be expected to operate with limited initial resources, select and implement lightweight marketing technology appropriate for an early-stage environment, and help define a hiring roadmap to scale the marketing function once product-market fit and initial traction are achieved. Suitable candidates should have experience building early-stage marketing through seed and series phases, including category positioning and early traction, along with comfort working in ambiguous, small-team environments in a remote, distributed setup.
