This senior leadership role will lead, shape, champion, and deliver an ambitious vision for research, innovation, and improvement, providing strategic direction to drive excellence in research and to strengthen a strong, inclusive research and innovation culture across the organization.
The role is focused on translating discovery into improved outcomes for women, children, and families. The post-holder will nurture and develop future researchers and innovators, strengthen academic and innovation capability, and grow the organization’s national and international research profile, while supporting excellence in a range of clinical and research areas including maternity, neonatal and fetal medicine, and related genomic research initiatives.
The successful candidate will be an established researcher or innovator in a relevant field, with extensive relevant managerial experience. They should demonstrate deep understanding of research and innovation in a healthcare and commercial healthcare context, and evidence leadership within a complex organizational and stakeholder environment, including experience setting and delivering on a clear, visionary strategy.
