The client is seeking a Clinical Director to provide clinical, operational, and strategic leadership for the growth and development of cancer care. The role will partner with executive and clinical leaders to advance excellence in cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, research, and education across the organization’s hospitals and ambulatory network, with a long-term focus on achieving a recognized cancer program designation.
The Clinical Director will establish and build a successful cancer program by assessing the current state, developing short-term and long-term strategy, and creating an implementation plan. Key responsibilities will include strategic recruitment and partnerships with chairs and other health system leaders to develop integrated, coordinated care pathways that support high-quality care and improved patient outcomes, while serving as a trusted, relationship-driven leader who understands the specialized clinical infrastructure required for oncology program success.
The successful candidate will be a physician leader (MD or DO) who is board-certified in an oncologic field and has demonstrated successful leadership in a complex academic health system. The ideal leader is honest, approachable, collaborative, and adaptive, and will be aligned with the client’s strategic priorities and committed to its vision for cancer care advancement.
