The client is seeking a Clerk/Chief Executive to lead, support, and inspire a team of seven and ensure effective delivery of the Company’s work as determined by its governing Court. This role will oversee the Benevolent Fund’s business by leading decision-making processes and managing implementation across key operational areas, including the planning and smooth administration of committee meetings throughout the year. The postholder will support the Master, represent the client at a significant number of external events, and actively contribute to the charitable activities of the organization, including responsibility for the management of its financial affairs.
The successful candidate will bring strong leadership experience across the full functional range expected in a small or medium-sized enterprise with complex stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to liaise effectively with staff, members, the Court, and external partners, while maintaining high standards of thoroughness, integrity, and professionalism. The role also calls for confidence and an outgoing presence, with an enjoyment of ceremonial duties and public-facing events.
