Our client, a cutting-edge Web3 infrastructure startup, is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the strategy, design, and evolution of their core systems and data architecture. The company's mission is to make decentralized identity interoperable, secure, and usable across chains, wallets, and applications without compromising user experience. The CIO will play a crucial role in shaping how the platform handles identity, data interoperability, and cross-chain communication at scale while ensuring performance, privacy, and compliance in the Web3 landscape.
The CIO will work closely with the CEO, CTO, and engineering leads to align systems architecture with business goals and future ecosystem integrations. Responsibilities include defining and executing the company's information and data architecture strategy, leading the design and governance of systems handling decentralized identity and cross-chain messaging, ensuring infrastructure scalability, performance, and security, and overseeing integrations with wallet providers, dApps, L1s/L2s, and enterprise partners. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in senior technical leadership roles, a strong background in data infrastructure, systems architecture, or enterprise-grade InfoSec, and a deep understanding of crypto primitives, DID protocols, or decentralized storage systems.
