We are seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead technology strategy, product engineering, and software development for a growing SaaS organization. This executive leadership role is designed for a hands-on technology leader who can connect strategic business goals with technical execution. The CTO will oversee engineering, infrastructure, security, and product development, and is expected to build a high-performing technology organization to support continued growth.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing the technology strategy aligned to business objectives; leading software engineering, product development, DevOps, and IT teams; and driving the architecture and development of scalable, secure, high-performing cloud-based SaaS applications. The CTO will establish engineering best practices across development, deployment, testing, and DevOps, and ensure platform reliability. In addition, the role will ensure cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance with relevant industry standards, and will partner with Product, Sales, Marketing, and executive leadership to align technology initiatives with business goals.
The CTO will evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that support competitive advantage, recruit and mentor engineering talent, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. The role also includes managing technology budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and ROI. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline, 10+ years of progressive software engineering and technology leadership experience, and at least 5 years in a CTO, VP of Engineering, or comparable senior technology leadership role within a SaaS environment, with proven experience scaling cloud-based SaaS platforms. The ideal candidate has strong architecture and distributed systems expertise, hands-on DevOps and CI/CD experience, understanding of cybersecurity and compliance requirements including GDPR and SOC 2, and experience leading Agile teams, along with strong executive communication and strategic planning skills, including fluency in Russian and/or Ukrainian.
