The client is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead engineering, technology architecture, and product strategy for healthcare technology focused on transforming how clinical data is shared across the healthcare ecosystem. This executive role will shape long-term technical direction for scalable, integration-heavy systems that improve data accessibility and patient outcomes, working across provider, payer, and digital health stakeholders. The client is looking for a strategic, business-minded technology leader who can guide engineering managers, inform product decisions tied to revenue, and help build scalable multi-tenant platforms.
Key requirements include background experience in healthcare technology and a track record of supporting organizational growth through systems and product development. The role requires strong understanding of risk, regulations, and data security, along with expertise in exchanging healthcare data using FHIR/HL7, and proficiency with claims and clinical data. Experience may include serving in a CTO or equivalent senior technology leadership capacity, supporting technology integration following mergers, and leading or supporting AI/ML initiatives.
Primary responsibilities include driving healthcare data interoperability, SaaS/cloud platform architecture, data engineering, security and compliance, and AI/data enablement initiatives. Day-to-day work is expected to balance hands-on technical involvement with management responsibilities and cross-team collaboration, including approximately time allocation across data interoperability, platform architecture, data engineering, security/compliance, and AI enablement. The client offers executive compensation with bonus and equity eligibility and provides medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as vacation time.
