The client is seeking a Chief Revenue Officer to help scale its data and technology business serving the pre-owned luxury goods sector. The role focuses on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with key partners, such as retailers and travel retail operators to open pre-owned luxury goods stores, and brands to support a certified pre-owned life-cycle offering within their distribution channels. The Chief Revenue Officer will build revenue growth through strategic partnerships and will educate clients on the value of a turn-key solution that supports procurement, logistics, and retail inventory insight.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with growth objectives; identifying, pursuing, and negotiating new opportunities with department stores, travel retail operators, luxury brands, and luxury goods groups; and building strong relationships with senior decision-makers. The role includes communicating the benefits of the business model, closing deals with large organizations, and collaborating with internal functions such as operations, marketing, and customer service to ensure successful partnership implementation.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, preferably in the luxury goods industry, along with strong C-level networks across relevant retail and brand stakeholders. Additional requirements include excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, the ability to educate clients on new business models, and strong negotiation and deal-closing ability. A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is expected, with an MBA preferred; this opportunity may be offered as a full-time role or as a part-time consulting mission.
