The CQO also works to align the quality infrastructure with the client Clinical Services (ECS) Operating System, making necessary adjustments to enhance effectiveness. In addition to overseeing the Surgical Quality Officer and Medical Directors for Quality, the CQO collaborates with physician leaders to establish standardization and accountability for quality at the section and service-line level. This involves leading various quality assurance processes, such as case reviews, documentation standards, Clinical Specialty Review Committees (CSRCs), and section-level quality improvement initiatives. The CQO also works closely with patient safety, accreditation, regulatory, analytics, and operational excellence leaders to ensure a cohesive and integrated Quality Management System (QMS) that supports continuous improvement in quality assurance and learning.
