The client is seeking a Chief Program Officer, Policy, Research, and Prevention to provide oversight, management, and supervision of key program areas. These include policy advocacy aimed at legislative changes at the state and federal levels to support a more fair, compassionate, and equitable criminal legal system; data science and research focused on collecting and managing information about wrongful conviction outcomes and researching contributing factors; and strategic litigation that uses legal advocacy and training to strengthen standards governing the use of science in criminal legal systems.
This role serves as a primary thought partner to experienced professionals and is responsible for keeping supervised teams aligned, focused, motivated, and high-performing to ensure the effectiveness and quality of work across all areas. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Chief Program Officer is expected to contribute to the organization’s overall direction, strategy, and health, helping ensure that policy, research, and litigation efforts work in concert to drive systemic impact.
