the chief philanthropy officer (cpo), shared services is the senior philanthropic leader responsible for providing strategic direction, operational leadership, and fundraising expertise to support transformational system priorities and related initiatives. working closely with executive leaders, foundation partners, physicians, caregivers, volunteers, and community stakeholders, the cpo will develop, execute, and enable a comprehensive philanthropy strategy that supports major capital initiatives, clinical excellence, research, innovation, workforce development, and community health programs. the role includes fostering a culture of philanthropy across The client, strengthening engagement among donors and leadership and governance groups, and elevating philanthropy as a strategic asset to the organization.

the cpo will provide executive leadership and partnership across The client’s network of foundations, ensuring alignment around fundraising goals, donor engagement, stewardship practices, financial performance, governance, and operational excellence. the leader will promote collaboration across markets and foundations, drive best practices and innovation, and deliver measurable results while respecting each foundation’s community relationships and philanthropic priorities. responsibilities also include enhancing donor engagement, philanthropic marketing and communications, campaign strategy, prospect development, and performance reporting to support philanthropic investment and long-term sustainability; the cpo will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and foundation boards and will integrate philanthropy into strategic planning, innovation, and organizational growth initiatives.
