The client is seeking a Chief People Officer to join its executive leadership team in Nashville, Tennessee, reporting directly to the President. This newly created role will be responsible for reimagining the organization’s people function, culture, structure, and policies to support a high-performance organization. The workforce includes both a corporate employee population and a large, geographically dispersed event and operations workforce, requiring adaptable communication and people strategies across diverse groups.
The Chief People Officer will help develop and implement best practices and strategies that advance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. The role will require an effective communicator who can challenge constructively, build consensus, and lead difficult conversations with empathy and conviction. The Chief People Officer will collaborate closely with Operations and leaders and team members across the United States to attract essential talent and ensure employees are highly engaged in the mission, work, and culture.
Key responsibilities include providing guidance and advisory support across leadership, coaching, employee engagement, employee and labor relations, compliance, talent acquisition, development and retention, culture, compensation and benefits, payroll, onboarding, organizational design and change, organizational and performance management, and training and development. The role will also support the continued integration and evolution of acquired businesses and future acquisitions by establishing scalable people practices, fostering alignment across legacy organizations, and creating a cohesive culture while respecting each organization’s unique strengths, with a solutions-oriented, consultative approach that weighs process and business outcomes.
