The client is seeking a strategic and values-driven Chief People Officer to join its Board. This pivotal leadership role will shape the client’s people, culture, leadership development, and organisational capability during a critical period of improvement and change. The position will play a central part in delivering organisational plans focused on strengthening quality, performance, governance, and culture while responding to significant workforce challenges.
As Chief People Officer, you will develop and deliver a future-focused People Strategy that enables the client to provide safe, high-quality, sustainable care and to become an employer of choice within the local system. You will lead the People Directorate, covering workforce matters and ensuring compliance with national, regional, and regulatory requirements. You will also drive large-scale cultural transformation, improve staff experience and wellbeing, strengthen leadership capability, and support sustained operational and clinical improvement.
The client is looking for an accomplished senior People leader with extensive HR and organisational development experience in a large, complex, and unionised environment. You will have a proven track record of leading major change, improving culture and engagement, developing high-performing teams, and working constructively with system partners to drive improvement. Politically astute and resilient, you will be comfortable operating at Board level and influencing with clarity, confidence, and compassion, while championing equality, diversity, and inclusion and aligning with the client’s values to create a culture where people feel engaged, valued, and supported.
