Description

the client is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead enterprise-wide operational leadership in a high-growth FMCG environment. this role will oversee and optimize manufacturing and operations across multiple production sites, drive continuous improvement to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost performance, and ensure operational scalability to support business expansion locally and regionally. the COO will establish performance metrics and KPIs to monitor plant efficiency, capacity utilization, and output quality.

the COO will own end-to-end supply chain responsibilities, including procurement, planning, warehousing, and distribution, with a focus on strengthening demand planning and S&OP processes to improve forecast accuracy and inventory optimization. the role will build resilience in the supply chain to mitigate risks such as raw material volatility and logistics disruptions, and optimize the logistics network, including transportation and last-mile delivery strategies. it will also lead strategic transformation across operations and supply chain, including automation, data analytics, and ERP enhancements, while executing cost optimization programs without compromising product quality and service levels.

the COO will support operational aspects of growth initiatives such as M&A integration, new product launches, and market expansion, and will drive sustainability initiatives across manufacturing and supply chain, including waste reduction and energy efficiency. this position requires partnering with commercial, finance, and R&D teams to align supply capabilities with market demand and serving as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on operational risks, investments, and long-term planning. candidates will typically bring 15 to 20+ years of experience in operations and supply chain within FMCG and related consumer goods, demonstrated success leading multi-site manufacturing and complex distribution networks, and proven transformation or large-scale optimization experience, along with strong executive leadership, governance, risk management, and stakeholder influence skills; experience supporting digital transformation and operational technology adoption is expected, and familiarity with Thai culture or the ability to communicate in Thai is a strong plus.
