The position is based in Buda, TX, which is 20 miles south of Austin, TX.
As COO, the selected candidate will gain a solid understanding of the current organizational structure and strategic initiatives. It is crucial for the COO to understand and eventually assume the CEO's responsibilities seamlessly. Building relationships with staff, external agencies, and industry stakeholders is necessary to manage the functions effectively. Participation in educational events and national industry meetings is expected to help in understanding and meeting the needs of member companies, alongside gaining a deep insight into the technical aspects of the industry.
Effective January 2027, as CEO, the individual will manage the client with responsibilities including championing industry awareness, relationship management, and developing resources for members. Promoting marketplace opportunities and engaging with partners, member companies, and various agencies will be key. Representing the organization to enhance its public image, acting as a spokesperson, and interacting with member companies for engagement and satisfaction are crucial. Additionally, managing alliances on a national level for promotional, technical, environmental, and legislative services will be part of the role, alongside maintaining relationships with relevant stakeholders to improve industry standards and events.
