The client is seeking nominations and applications for a transformative Chief Operating Officer to serve as its next COO. The organization is a nonprofit dedicated to bridging the opportunity gap for students in underinvested communities, providing educational programs for students across multiple schools in New York City and Long Island.
The COO will oversee day-to-day operations and advance the organization’s operational infrastructure during a period of scale, complexity, and strategic evolution. Reporting to the CEO and partnering closely with the CFO, the COO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, helping drive strategic growth while ensuring that systems, people, and processes are aligned to support mission delivery, organizational growth, and a culture of excellence and innovation.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in education and a deep understanding of government-funded programs. This role will require the ability to navigate a business model that relies heavily on relationships with principals and superintendents, as well as government contracts.
