A client is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to join its executive leadership team and lead day-to-day operations at a mission-driven, faith-based provider of comprehensive rehabilitation care. The role is accountable for operational execution across inpatient and outpatient services within a broader environment of clinical excellence and accreditation standards. The COO will be a visible leader within the organization, translating the strategic plan into actionable operations.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the COO holds accountability for daily operations and is expected to act in the CEO’s absence. This broad senior leadership position spans multiple operational and clinical support areas, including nursing, inpatient and outpatient therapy, case management, quality, revenue cycle, pharmacy, radiology, facilities, nutrition, safety and security, infection prevention, neuropsychology, respiratory care, laboratory services, and social work, as well as accreditation-related functions tied to Joint Commission and CARF standards.
The client is looking for a seasoned healthcare executive with demonstrated experience leading complex clinical operations in inpatient rehabilitation, post-acute care, or specialty hospital settings. The ideal candidate will have direct accountability for quality, accreditation, financial performance, and workforce leadership across multiple departments, and is comfortable operating at the C-suite level while staying closely engaged with frontline clinical teams.
