Description

the client is seeking a chief operating officer (coo) to drive operational success across a portfolio of approximately 30 locations spanning coffee shops and full-service restaurants. The coo will provide leadership to ensure consistent performance, profitability, and growth, partnering closely with the ceo to implement strategic initiatives while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and compliance with company policies and applicable local regulations. The coo will support operational needs by implementing best practices, addressing critical challenges, and establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (kpis) to drive continuous improvement. The role also involves developing and executing strategic plans aligned with organizational goals, identifying growth opportunities and market trends to enhance the customer experience and competitiveness.

The coo will manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning to support profitability and cost control, including revenue optimization to meet or exceed financial targets. This leader will build, mentor, and lead a high-performing multi-location team, fostering accountability and teamwork and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion along with professional development. Additional responsibilities include ensuring strong guest experiences through service standards and feedback-driven improvements, maintaining compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements, and proactively identifying and mitigating operational risks; the role is expected to benefit from experienced operational leadership with a track record in multi-unit food service or hospitality management, with strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, decision-making, problem-solving, adaptability, and communication skills, as well as familiarity with diverse food service formats.
