Description

The client, a leading European provider of non-life insurance services, is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee core operational functions including IT, Underwriting & Policy Management, and claims management. The COO will provide leadership and direction to the IT Management team, UPM Manager, and Claims Management team to drive operational efficiency and strategic alignment with the company's goals for growth, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. The role will involve collaborating with the Executive Committee to translate the client's strategic vision into actionable operational plans and promoting the adoption of digital tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

The COO will work closely with the IT management team to ensure that the organization's technology infrastructure supports business needs and drives innovation. They will lead the UPM Manager in optimizing underwriting processes and oversee the Claims management team to ensure efficient, customer-focused processes that contribute to customer satisfaction, retention, and overall brand reputation. The COO will act as a bridge between operational functions and other departments to ensure alignment and collaboration, establish and monitor KPIs for IT, UPM, and claims management, and lead operational change initiatives to foster a culture of adaptability and innovation within operational teams.

The successful applicant will have a Master's degree in Business Administration and a strong background in operational leadership within the insurance industry. They will have experience in strategic planning, IT oversight, underwriting and policy management, claims management, cross-functional collaboration, performance management, customer-centric operations, change management, and risk and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with a track record of driving operational efficiency, innovation, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
