The client is seeking a Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for private equities and hedge funds. This role demands overseeing financial management, including fund and corporate accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash management. The successful candidate will ensure accuracy in fund NAVs, valuations, performance reporting, and manage relationships with auditors, administrators, tax advisors, and regulators. Leading the operations management, the role involves handling trade operations, settlement processes, investor onboarding, KYC/AML, and middle-office operations. Additionally, the COO & CFO will supervise technology and infrastructure teams, driving digital transformation and technology solutions for enhanced scalability and operational resilience.
A key aspect of the position includes partnering with the CEO and investment partners on firmwide strategy, capital planning, and new fund initiatives. This requires strategic decision-making in product innovation and market expansion. The COO & CFO will also provide leadership in investor relations and board-level financial insights while fostering a culture of ownership and collaboration within the teams. Essential qualifications for the role include proven experience in senior operations within private equity or hedge fund firms, strong financial leadership with prior CFO or Finance Director experience, and an understanding of alternative investment structures and fund governance.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing multidisciplinary teams including finance, operations, compliance, risk, and technology.
