the client is seeking an experienced chief operating officer (coo) to support the continued growth and professionalization of an established luxury watch eCommerce and retail business with operations in atlanta. This is intended to be the client’s first executive hire, helping introduce new growth ideas, execute on existing growth strategy, and build organizational capabilities that may eventually support taking over management of additional parts of the business as proficiency and trust are established.
the coo will collaborate with the ceo to develop short-, mid-, and long-term growth plans spanning both eCommerce and retail. Responsibilities include developing and integrating staffing programs to attract and manage high-caliber team members; executing strategic projects that drive business growth; creating operational strategy and policies and communicating them to employees; participating as part of the management committee; ensuring initiatives align with the company’s core values and culture; and providing leadership and support for employee development.
the ideal candidate will be a retail or eCommerce executive with strong luxury goods expertise and experience managing through a company growth cycle. the role is expected to suit leaders with demonstrated results in scaling organizations, building consensus and teams, and supporting operations across eCommerce channels and related functions such as customer support and retail operations. required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, and an mba is expected; strong experience managing eCommerce and a profitable luxury retail operation is desired, along with proven managerial experience involving online sales and customer support operations, budgeting, process workflow development, and analytical and communication skills. proficiency with microsoft office is expected, and experience with order fulfillment, point-of-sale and inventory management, and financial report analysis is preferred.
