The client, an economic justice nonprofit in Chicago, is seeking a Chief Operating Officer and President for its Social Enterprises. The ideal candidate will lead daily operations, develop administrative functions, and focus on maximizing impact and profitability for the organization's Social Enterprises. This leader will work closely with the President and CEO to ensure a thriving and sustainable organizational structure while nurturing strong teams and promoting a culture of performance and community care. The COO & President will be responsible for expanding the scope and scale of the Social Enterprises, focusing on outcomes for participants, economic revitalization, and high-quality production.

The client has been a trailblazer in workforce development and social enterprise for over 25 years, serving community members who are unemployed, formerly incarcerated, and low-income. The organization assists individuals in securing employment, developing job skills, and achieving educational and financial goals. With an operating budget of $7.5 million and 46 employees, the client's Social Enterprises, Sweet Beginnings, LLC, and the beelove caf play a crucial role in providing transitional jobs and work opportunities to those facing barriers to employment. The COO & President will be responsible for overseeing the operations of these Social Enterprises, introducing efficiencies, and fostering collaboration among teams to ensure maximum impact and profitability.

The ideal candidate for this role will have exceptional organizational management skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a commitment to empowering individuals from diverse backgrounds, especially those impacted by the carceral system.
