The client is seeking a Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer to lead finance, operations, and risk/compliance functions across private equity and hedge fund businesses. The role will oversee financial management activities including fund and corporate accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash management, while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of fund NAVs, valuation processes, performance reporting, and fee calculations. The role also includes managing relationships with auditors, administrators, tax advisors, fund boards, and external regulatory stakeholders.
In addition, the Chief Operating Officer / Chief Financial Officer will lead front-to-back operational workflows spanning trade operations, settlement, capital call and distribution processes, investor onboarding, and KYC/AML, as well as fund lifecycle operations. Responsibilities include coordinating operational due diligence responses, overseeing investor reporting, and managing middle-office processes. The role will supervise technology and infrastructure to support trading, portfolio management, cybersecurity, and data management, and will drive digital transformation, automation, and technology implementations to improve scalability and operational resilience.
The role will partner with the CEO and investment partners on firmwide strategy, capital planning, growth initiatives, and new fund launches, contributing to strategic decisions related to product innovation, market expansion, and organizational development. It will also provide leadership on investor relations materials, strategic analytics, and board-level financial insights. The successful applicant will bring proven senior COO or operations leadership experience in private equity and/or hedge funds, strong financial leadership with CFO/finance director/controller-level responsibilities, deep knowledge of alternative investment structures and front-to-back operations, and experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across finance, operations, compliance, risk, and technology; strong technical proficiency with fund accounting and operational platforms is expected, along with familiarity with regulatory requirements in Hong Kong and an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented mindset.
