The Chief of Staff serves as a key advisor to the President and CEO and is a member of the Executive Team. The role is expected to drive organizational strategy and improve overall effectiveness by elevating, accelerating, and facilitating cross-functional, high-priority initiatives, with particular emphasis on organizational culture and change management. The Chief of Staff is responsible for building an effective support structure for the President and CEO, ensuring strategic alignment across the executive team, and fostering collaboration and accountability in achieving the organization’s strategic priorities.
Working closely with senior leaders, the Board, and relevant internal and external constituencies, the Chief of Staff provides oversight and ensures follow-through on high-priority, time-sensitive matters involving organizational strategy, cross-functional activity, and Board management. Core responsibilities include advising the President and CEO on organizational opportunities and challenges; leading operational effectiveness for the executive office through proactive planning and coordination; conducting high-level research and synthesizing insights to provide actionable recommendations; and coordinating Executive Team meeting agendas to support strategic alignment and collaborative problem solving. The Chief of Staff also is expected to oversee strategic project management for priority initiatives from planning through execution, build relationships across the organization to improve efficiency and responsiveness, and partner with senior leadership on special projects and strategy definition.
