The client is seeking a Chief of Staff / Head of Strategic Initiatives to serve as the CEO’s right hand and help scale its government-focused specialty pharmaceutical business based in Los Angeles, California. The role is centered on building both a high-performing business development engine and the operating infrastructure needed to grow the government segment over the next three to five years.
Key responsibilities include identifying growth opportunities, developing manufacturer and product targeting strategies, and leading strategic and operational initiatives with measurable impact. This position will support the execution of priorities that strengthen the organization’s ability to scale, and it will be expected to contribute to a long-term transition path toward broader executive leadership responsibilities, including a potential progression toward COO.
The ideal candidate will bring two to four years of management consulting experience from a strategy consulting firm and two to four years of relevant experience in the healthcare or life sciences sector. The client expects strong strategic thinking, initiative ownership, and the ability to drive both external growth efforts and internal operational improvements.
