The client is seeking a Chief of Staff to create systems that deliver the long-term vision, planning, and culture. In this senior, trusted-advisor role, the Chief of Staff will support the organization’s leadership by ensuring integration across multiple streams of work, including development, policy, organizing, and advocacy, and will help build an inclusive, diverse team culture aligned with the client’s core values.
Key responsibilities include providing direct administrative support to the Executive Director to maximize effectiveness, such as managing calendars, supporting time tracking, coordinating expenses, and coordinating travel as needed. The Chief of Staff will also serve as a key contributor to the client’s local leadership work, partnering with internal teams and stakeholders to improve coordination, execution, and follow-through on priorities.
The role is expected to support issue-focused, anti-racist, student-centered educator organizing efforts by strengthening leadership capacity and collective power. The Chief of Staff should be comfortable working in an environment that emphasizes continuous professional growth, inclusive culture-building, and hands-on collaboration to advance policy and leadership outcomes across schools, districts, and educator unions.
