The client is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and mission-aligned Chief of Philanthropy to lead impact-driven fundraising and donor engagement. Reporting directly to the President and Executive Director, the Chief of Philanthropy will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, providing both strategic and operational direction for long-term philanthropic strategy. The role is responsible for generating sustainable revenue, strengthening donor relationships, and aligning philanthropic support with the organization’s priorities while fostering a strong organization-wide culture of philanthropy.
The Chief of Philanthropy will personally cultivate and steward a targeted portfolio of high-value donors and prospects and provide strategic leadership for the philanthropy team. Responsibilities include overseeing individual and major giving, annual giving, planned giving, endowment, institutional giving and grants, donor stewardship, and major and principal gift prospect development. As a senior, visible ambassador for The client, the individual will build relationships across the community to advance philanthropic goals and reinforce an integrated, mission-focused approach to fundraising.
The ideal candidate is a results-driven fundraising leader who can translate organizational priorities into clear, measurable philanthropic objectives. They will cultivate a culture grounded in transparency, accountability, partnership, and continuous learning, and will embed philanthropy as a shared responsibility across the organization. Proven success managing multi-channel fundraising programs, developing data-informed multi-year strategies, cultivating high-capacity donors, and inspiring teams to achieve ambitious goals in a fast-paced environment is expected.
