Description

the client is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and mission-aligned Chief of Philanthropy to lead impact-driven fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This is a full-time role that is predominantly onsite in Milpitas, California. Reporting directly to the President and Executive Director, the Chief of Philanthropy serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and provides both strategic and operational leadership for high-impact philanthropy initiatives.

The Chief of Philanthropy will guide the development and execution of long-term philanthropic strategies designed to generate sustainable revenue, strengthen donor relationships, and ensure philanthropic support aligns with the organization’s strategic priorities. Responsibilities include personal cultivation and stewardship of a targeted portfolio of high-value donors and prospects, as well as leading a team focused on individual and major giving, annual giving, planned giving, endowment, and institutional giving and grants. The role also includes donor stewardship and managing major and principal gift prospects, with an emphasis on being a visible ambassador for the client.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, results-driven, and highly collaborative fundraising leader who can translate organizational priorities into clear, measurable philanthropic goals. They are expected to foster a culture grounded in transparency, accountability, partnership, and continuous learning, while embedding philanthropy as a shared responsibility across the organization. The candidate will bring proven success managing multi-channel fundraising programs and developing data-informed multi-year strategies, and will build strong community relationships to advance philanthropic objectives.
