The client Chief Nursing Operations Executive (CNOE) will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team and provide direction and support to primary care and ambulatory services. The role will help fulfill the organization’s mission by assisting with plans and objectives aimed at delivering high-quality, cost-effective care. The CNOE will participate in organizational growth and success and is expected to align nursing operations with system leadership priorities.
In partnership with physician and operations leaders, the CNOE will oversee primary care physician practice operations across adult primary care, urgent care, women’s health, and behavioral health. Responsibilities include ensuring overall quality of medical care in conjunction with nursing leadership for primary care and ambulatory service lines, supporting strategy execution and enterprise growth, and driving employee engagement, patient satisfaction, and quality of care. The role also includes managing operational costs through budgeting and financial performance for assigned divisions, promoting a culture of performance, quality, service, accountability, and transparency—specifically through responsibility for the nursing staff culture and climate—and collaborating with others to standardize operations and consistency.
The CNOE will oversee multiple physician locations and provide direction to staff and other assigned areas to promote safe, high-quality patient care and a positive patient experience. The position is responsible for consistency of best-practice clinical standards and provides clinical perspectives on patient care issues while advocating for staff and patient needs. The CNOE is expected to serve on an executive nursing leadership council to promote recognized nursing standards and continuous improvement, and will report to the Chief Administrative Officer for the client, with matrixed accountability for nursing standards to the system Chief Nurse Officer.
