Description

The client is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to join its executive leadership team. The CNO will provide strategic and operational leadership for nursing and clinical support services within an 80-bed rehabilitation hospital, supporting patients recovering from conditions such as stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, major trauma, and other complex needs.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the CNO will hold strategic, operational, financial, and clinical accountability for nursing and ancillary services. As a member of the senior executive team, the CNO will establish the vision for nursing practice and cultivate a culture of clinical excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous improvement, overseeing inpatient nursing and related departments including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, clinical laboratory services, infection prevention and employee health, and volunteer services.

The client is looking for an experienced, mission-driven nursing executive with a proven track record leading clinical operations in rehabilitation, post-acute, or similarly specialized care settings of comparable scope. The role requires accountability for clinical outcomes, patient experience, patient safety, regulatory and accreditation compliance, and workforce development, with comfort operating at the C-suite level while staying connected to frontline teams; a master’s degree in nursing or a related field is required, at least five years of progressive senior nursing leadership experience is expected, and CCRN certification is preferred.
