The ideal Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for this role will have a strong background in advancing quality, safety, and the patient/team experience in a rural to suburban community-based setting. They should possess a combination of acute care clinical expertise and progressive administrative skills, with a track record of successfully balancing financial and clinical objectives. A minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in hospitals or health systems of similar complexity is required, and experience in a Magnet or Pathways designated environment is preferred.The successful CNO will be a visible, community-oriented leader who is proactive, decisive, and an outstanding communicator. They should have the ability to build relationships across the organization to engage peers in delivering excellence in clinical care. Fostering team cohesion, helping staff reconnect with their motivations, and improving communication, empathy, and patient/family interaction will be key responsibilities for the CNO in this role.
